What I Did

I began by identifying the website’s pain points, focusing on low engagement and conversion rates, and internal challenges with page creation and management. To boost conversions, I mapped out user journeys to refine page structure and enhance visitor engagement. I then turned these wireframes into an interactive website using WPBakery, GSAP, and ScrollTrigger animations to increase user interaction. On the backend, I developed a flexible system that allowed the client to easily create pages and posts with custom WPBakery blocks in conjunction with ACF. Working closely with the IT team, I deployed and monitored the site on their cloud hosting provider. The result was a satisfied client who’s committed to future projects.

Back-End Development

Constructing a Robust and Agile Backend Framework

A key project requirement was to enable internal teams to easily create pages and posts post-handover, which we achieved seamlessly. Each block was built modularly, and WPBakery was enhanced to pull parameters from the custom ACF options page, called “theme settings.”

The process was simple: admins could create branding elements under “theme settings” (e.g. new button styles). These options would then automatically appear in our custom WPBakery blocks, enabling the client to build unique, tailored layouts without any coding.
